For our youngest patients, babies and toddlers, we want to make sure that their early experiences at the dental office stay positive. How do we do this? Short appointment lengths and focus on at-home care. We want to make sure that you know what to do at home to help protect your baby's teeth from cavities in the future. We will also discuss if fluoride varnish can help your littlest of littles.
If your kids are already in school, we can become their dental home. As they transition to adult teeth, its important that your kids understand why their adult teeth need to be protected. We can discuss sealants, small protective fillings and other ways to make sure that all their teeth stay healthy. We will also make sure that they're on the right track to developing a straight smile with the help of our orthodontic specialists.
Moms and Dads - don't forget that you need regular care too! We understand that your kids come first. Dr. Lewis is also a mom and gets this. BUT, you can't take care of your kids if your teeth are in pain. It is easier (and less expensive) for us to take care of smaller cavities before they become painful. If its been a few years since you've been to the dentist yourself, make an appointment too because you won't feel a cavity until it becomes a bigger problem.
We can also help you determine the right path of oral care for elderly patients who need your help in making their dental appointments. Dr. Lewis has had experience working with families who are taking care of their parents. Our focus at this point of life is comfort and protecting quality of life. We work on developing a set of treatment goals that both parents and their adult children can agree on. We also provide you with ways to change at home care to make sure it is as easy as possible to help your parents keep their mouths healthy.
